Metallic Leather Care Guide

Our Metallic Leather is crafted from full-grain leather with a metallic foil and finished with a protective coating to help the shimmer last beautifully over time. This finish adds durability, but like all metallic leathers, some surface wear may occur with frequent friction or heavy, everyday use. This natural patina is part of how metallic leather ages.

Everyday Care

To keep your piece looking its best, please follow these care guidelines:

• Avoid conditioners, oils, or leather cleaners — they can dull or lift the metallic finish.
• Keep away from abrasive surfaces that may scratch or rub the coating.
• Store in a dust bag when not in use to minimize unnecessary friction.
• Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth only; do not use moisture or cleaning products.
• Handle with clean, dry hands to keep the metallic finish bright.

Expect a subtle softening of the finish over time, especially in high-touch areas

These characteristics are normal for metallic full-grain leather and are not considered defects. With mindful care, your metallic Lyons piece will maintain its shine and structure while developing a unique, personal character.

Water & Weather

• Metallic leather is naturally sensitive to moisture. Avoid rain or heavy humidity whenever possible.

• If it gets lightly damp, blot (don’t rub) with a soft, dry cloth and let it air dry naturally.

• Do not use wax-based sprays — these can dull or damage the metallic finish.

• Waterproofing spray service recommended.

Cleaning

• For dust or fingerprints, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.

• Avoid soaps, conditioners, or alcohol-based cleaners.

• If needed, spot clean with a barely damp cloth and allow to air dry — no heat or hair dryers.
